Brian Sanders
British 1937 -

Born in London in 1937, Brian Sanders studied painting and drawing at Sir John Cass College of Art. His military service in the Royal Marines provided unique opportunities to study and illustrate scenic countries in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Sanders later worked with London-based photographer Adrian Flowers, expanding his knowledge of illustration and graphics. At age 22, he began his career as a freelance illustrator. His clients include Penguin U.K., Royal Mail, Transworld Publishers, Orion Books, B.B.C. Publications, Bradford Exchange and Walker Books. Sanders works have been on exhibit at numerous galleries, including Castle Museum in York, Association of Illustrators, Imperial War Museum and National Trust of Cornwall. He has also served as director of Artist Partners, Europe's largest artist's agency, and as founder of the British Association of Illustrators.
