Bruce Weatherhead: Puckle Street Moonee Ponds Post Office in Australia Pioneers and gold seekers made their way along Mt Alexander Road to spend the first night out of Melbourne at a swamp forming a chain of ponds. This stopover was called (City of Essendon) Moonee Ponds. It was a stopover that become an important part of Melbourne. The post office featured on the artwork was located on Puckle Street in Monee Ponds.
