Fritz Wegner: Cassiopeia the Constellation
No ancient myth is more graphically represented in the heavens than the myth of Perseus and Andromeda of which Cassiopiea plays a crucial part. Cassiopeia, Andromeda's mother, was Queen of Ethiopia. She angered the sea nymphs by boasting of her unsurpassed beauty. Unable to appease Zeus, she was punished for her vanity. The gods fixed her into the throne which she eternally occupies in the north sky.
