Dorado, called Swordfish by the Greeks or Goldenfish by the Spanish, is a small modern, southern constellation embracing the South Pole of the ecliptic. The constellation is noted as being the home of the Greater Magellanic Cloud. This is a cloudy patch outside the Milky Way, and is similar to it in appearance.

This painting was originally published on the Fleetwood® First Day Cover for the Cook Islands Halley's Comet stamps issued March 13, 1986.
