Kristin Rosenberg: Flowers of England The flowers of England form this floral bouquet, while the decorative ribbons represent England's national colors. The Dog Rose is the most common wild rose to be found in England and remains a favorite flower in wedding bouquets. Primroses have dark lines in their centers that are said to guide bees to the interior of the flower. Often associated with Venus, the goddess of love, the lovely Wild Pansy grows at the edge of the woods. The soft blue Forget-me-nots are indeed hard to forget. The blossoms of the Wild Apple are hard to locate in trees, but easily spotted in wedding decorations. Found in Dorset and Devon, the Dorset Heath is an uncommon shrub thought to bring good luck. Common along British roadsides, Zig-zag Clover can be grown for cattle. Rare Cornish Heath grows most profusely in Cornwall. The sweet fruits of the Wild Strawberry plant have delighted many a lucky traveler in the forest.
