The flowers of Cyprus form this floral bouquet, while the decorative ribbons represent Cyprus's national colors. Spreading a splash of deep blue through Cyprus, Lupinus augustifolius grows in fields as well as stony ground. The stems of the prolific Spanish Broom are used in basket making, and the flowers produce a yellow dye. Many Mediterranean islands are graced with the beautiful, tissue-paper-thin flower of the Cistus villosus ereticus. Surprisingly, the Carmel Daisy grows on clay and limestone. A member of the buttercup family, the Scarlet Crowfoot appears in white, yellow, and orange hues. The small Cistus monspeliensis displays petite white flowers against a low, shrubby growth of leaves. The Anagallis monelli, a pimpernell, has startlingly deep blue flowers that raise admiration throughout Cyprus.
