Keith Reynolds: Oil Tanker ALREHAB On July 15, 1999, the ship ALREHAB was named in memory of Rehab A.T. Bakhsh. Rehab Bakhsh had begun a successful career in the family business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when he tragically lost his life. The ALREHAB will also serve as a remembrance for his children in loving memory of their beloved father. The ALREHAB is a state-of-the-art oil tanker registered in the Marshall Islands where many people earn their living from fishing and as a result are very concerned with the preservation of the marine environment. The ALREHAB's double hull and other safety features were designed to provide the highest possible standards of environmental protection. The Republic of the Marshall Islands welcomes the ALREHAB into its ship registry. SAMOCO, a joint venture between Mobil Shipping and Transportation (MOSAT) and Saudi Maritime Holding Co. (SAMCO), will own and operate the ALREHAB. This painting originally appeared on the Republic of the Marshall Islands 60¢ Marshall Islands Maritime Administration ALREHAB Souvenir Sheet issued July 15, 1999.
